The primary multimodal element I chose to incorporate into my essay was header images for each of my paragraphs. These are meant to act as a sort of teaser and mood setter before you even read the first line. This takes some of the leg work out of communicating the subject of the paragraph so You are freer to spend time on your argument. The other element I incorporated was an embedded link to a video explaining what art therapy is and how it can be used to depression. This avoids a long tangent of explaining art therapy and allows me to keep moving forward with my argument without leaving any reader who is unaware of what art therapy is or how it may be used confused.
