Learning Outcome 4

My go to peer review strategy is to ask guiding questions like “what bigger thing are you connecting it to” I feel like when it comes to global revisions this is better than necessarily suggesting a direction for them to go. I ask questions when I feel like they have room to expand ideas and if I suggest what those should be it would take away from it being their essay. I also compliment or criticize their thesis and topic sentences. With these comments, I usually get more specific about what I find weak about them so they have an idea of how they might improve it.  I feel freer to give more of my opinion in these because its easier for them to take specific criticism on them without losing their vision for the essay. For example, I can say this topic sentence doesn’t connect to their thesis without influencing the thesis itself.
