Thesis: Almost any issue can benefit from some combination of science and the arts.
The way artists think can benefit science by observing issues from unconventional angles.
Artists are far better mass communicators than most scientists.
Art promotes empathetic thinking, this combined with hard analytical facts creates an extremely effective one two combo that makes almost any argument more convincing.
Despite not being artistic and much to my chagrin I can’t argue against the benefits of art being part of education.
I agree with both perspectives on art and propose a melding of the two. I will use their essays to help support my points and refute arguments.
